Cancellation Policy

We understand special circumstances can happen, requiring you to cancel or change appointments. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may incur a late cancellation fee unless the appointment can be filled by another client.

Important:

All cancellations must be made by telephone.

Email or social media cancellations are not accepted.

Charges for Late Cancellations or No-Shows:

48 hours notice or more: No charge. Service may be moved or cancelled without penalty.
Under 48 hours notice: Subject to a 50% charge.
Failure to attend appointment without notice: Subject to a 50% charge before rebooking. You may also be required to pay a reservation fee before future appointments can be booked.

Complimentary Consultations:

We offer complimentary 15-minute consultations. However, failure to attend or cancellations made outside our policy may result in a charge for future consultations.

We send appointment confirmations via email and text. These reminders are provided as a courtesy and should not be relied upon as booking reminders.

By booking your appointment, you agree to these terms and conditions, available on our website, displayed in-salon, and on our social media.

Skin Patch Test Policy

Before any hair colour services at our Nottingham salon, you may have to come in for a patch test 48 hours before your appointment. Please note, we will not be able to carry out your colour service if you do not come in for your required test.

Customer Complaints Policy

It goes without saying that we want you to be completely satisfied with the service you receive from The Dumb Brunette Salon in Nottingham. As a local independent business, we aim for the highest standards in everything we do. Complaints are rare, but we take them seriously. That's why we have a complaint policy in place to ensure things are put right where needed and that we learn from your feedback.

The Process

Tell someone you’re not happy with the service you’ve received, either while you’re in the salon or within 7 days of leaving the salon. Calmly and clearly explain the problem. We will listen to your feedback and ask questions as necessary to understand why you are making a complaint. We aim to resolve all complaints within eight weeks.

If you have already left the salon, don’t go to another salon as we have the right to see exactly what the service or treatment you received from us looks like. We will arrange a suitable time for you to come back into our salon and discuss your complaint in private.

Where we think the complaint is reasonable, we will redo a part or all the service or treatment again as soon as possible, free of charge. The work will be done by a different stylist if you prefer, however this may not always be possible, especially if they are self-employed. If we can’t fix the problem, we may offer a partial or full refund depending on how reasonable we consider your complaint to be.
